Abstract

In view of tremendous popularity of mobile devices such as iPhone, Phone Android, Windows Phone (and upcoming Windows Phone 7), and iPad, it becomes important for software developers to understand the market potentials and software challenges of mobile device business applications as well as games. In this workshop we will present some issues in mobile device application development from both academia and industry perspectives.


Topics to be included in the workshop are:

  • Mobile devices application market survey
  • Overview of mobile device application development environments and challenges iPhone and iPad application development and demos
  • Windows Phone 7 development and demos
  • Content Adaptation and Shared State Distribution for Multiplayer Mobile Games (Invited Guest Talk)
  • Mobile devices 3D game technique issues
